WinSCP

WinSCP↗ is a widely used open-source SFTP client for Windows. It offers a dual-pane interface and integrated text editor.

# Setup

To configure WinSCP for your fortrabbit app, you'll need your SSH private key, app environment ID, and the SFTP host address for your region. The following steps show how to set up the connection.

1. Open WinSCP.
2. File protocol: Select SFTP.
3. Host name: ssh.{{region}}.frbit.app
4. Port number: 22
5. User name: {{app-env-id}}
6. Password: Leave blank.
7. Click Advanced... > SSH > Authentication.
8. Private key file: Browse and select your private key file.
9. Click OK to close Advanced settings.
10. Click Login.

You can save the session for quick access later.
