A billing connection associates a person with an app through a payment method, either directly or through a team. A billing connection allows administrative tasks on an app, but has nothing to do with code access.

What you can do with a billing connection
A billing connection grants permissions to manage the app's team and developers, create or delete apps, and update payment settings.

Who can have a billing connection?
Billing connections are available to developers and clients within the fortrabbit platform, with account type determining specific access levels.

Billing connection types
A billing connection can be established either directly or through a team.
Direct billing connection
A person can connect directly to an app via a personal payment method, which can be shared with others. Developers can also be invited to or invite other developers to connect directly to an app they have access to.
Team billing connections
Team members with unlimited access—see team roles—have access to all payment methods connected to the team.
Relation to developer connection
A similar concept is the developer connection, which defines how a person has technical access to an app.
